Garment Care

Soft pieces deserve soft hands.

Lingerie & lace

Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent designed for delicates. Do not wring. Lay flat on a clean towel to dry, away from direct sunlight.

If you must machine wash, use a mesh laundry bag, the gentlest cycle, and cold water. Skip the dryer.

Silk pieces

Silk is a living fabric. Hand wash only, in cold water with a silk-specific detergent. Do not soak. Roll in a clean towel to remove excess water, then lay flat to dry.

Iron on low heat from the inside out, while the silk is slightly damp.

Robes & slips

Hand wash or gentle cycle, cold. Hang to dry. A quick steam restores the drape.

Stockings

Always hand wash. Roll up gently from the toe when storing — never fold or twist.

What to avoid

Bleach, fabric softener, harsh detergents, hot water, the dryer, direct sun.

Storing

Fold each piece with tissue paper between layers if you are stacking. Hang robes and slips on padded hangers. Keep silk away from light.

Treated this way, your pieces will outlast their first season many times over.
